Are Vinyl Records Easy To Break?
Vinyl records are not easy to break in the glass-like sense, but they can still crack, warp, scratch, or wear out if they are dropped, overheated, or handled badly. Older shellac 78s are much more brittle than modern PVC records, and a worn stylus or bad storage can cause just as much trouble as an impact.
